Special thanks to the teachers, students, and staff for BUZZING TOWARDS EXEMPLARY! Everyone is working hard at Highland Heights Elementary.
It is that time again...the teachers, staff, and administration are ready to welcome back our Honey Bee students for another successful school year. We will spend two weeks buzzing around to make sure everything is perfect!
As our students return, they will see some new enhacements to the building. Pay close attention to the efforts we made to beautify our campus for our students and the community. We want our students to be proud to attend Highland Heights and to be Honey Bees!
In addition to an ehanced learning environment, we have a few new faces in our Honey Bee family. Please be sure to welcome Ms. Bunton, Intermediate Science/Social Studies Teacher, Ms. Thomas, Intermediate Math Teacher, Ms. Brown, Intermediate Language teacher, Ms. Hodge, BSC Teacher, and Ms. Williams, Resource Teacher. We also have a new BSC Teacher Assistant, Ms. Parker. Please be sure to welcome them to our family.
In an effort to service our students as efficiently as possible, we have reorganized our teams. The PK/K team will now be referred to as the Early Childhood Team. First Grade has relocated to the 2nd Grade Pod and 1st and 2nd Grades will now be referred to as the Primary Team. Fourth Grade has relocated to the 3rd Grade Pod and 3rd and 4th Grades will be referred to as the Intermediate Team. Fifth Grade will remain the same, however, they will now be joined by Special Education (BSC and Resource), and the Fifth Grade Pod will now be referred to as the Fifth Grade Academy.
We are making changes for the better and we are looking forward to another successful year. See you on August 27. Remember, the instructional day will begin at 7:45 a.m. and students will be dismissed at 3:15 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We will have EARLY DISMISSAL every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
WE ARE WORKING EARLY TO BUILD CHILDREN INSTEAD OF WAITING TO REPAIR MEN AND WOMEN.
